Finca Putumayo Community Centre was founded in 2022 in a beautiful tropical corner of Andalucía, embraced by mountains and within reach of the sea. Cradled by birdsong, open skies and the steady presence of the land, it is a space that gently invites you to slow down, soften and return to what is essential.
The vision began with Anna whilst journeying through Colombia, particularly in the Putumayo region of the Amazon rainforest. There, in close relationship with the land and its guardians, she encountered a depth of wisdom that left a lasting imprint. Guided by the integrity and humility of the shamans, taitas and healers she met, a calling arose: to create a space in Europe that honours these ancestral traditions with reverence, respect and right relationship.
At the heart of the finca stands the wooden Maloka — a sacred temple and gathering place. Within this 7-sided space, ceremonies, prayer, music and shared experiences unfold. It was built with clear intention: to restore connection with Mother Earth and Spirit, to recalibrate, to receive healing and insight, and to expand consciousness in a grounded and embodied way.
Finca Putumayo is lovingly tended by three devoted guardians of the land — Anna, Elliott and Miryam. Each brings their own gifts, yet they move with a shared intention: to honour the spirit of this place and allow it to flourish in its natural rhythm. Their care is not only practical but deeply devotional; from the gardens to the gathering spaces, from quiet corners for reflection to the warmth of shared meals, every detail is shaped with presence, integrity and heart.
Life here moves in rhythm with the natural world. The gardens are tended with care, the trees stand as quiet teachers, and all beings — dogs, cats, fish, birds, toads, wild boar and insects — form part of a living, breathing ecosystem. Community here is not only human; it is ecological.
Finca Putumayo is a place to come home to yourself. A space of peace, joy and shared experience. We honour diverse spiritual lineages whilst remaining rooted in respect for the cultures from which these traditions arise. People from all walks of life are welcomed with openness and warmth. You are invited to breathe deeply, to listen inwardly and outwardly, and to remember your belonging — to the Earth, to community and to your own inner knowing.
